Experience the Best of Moto Mist - Answers to Your Questions
Question, will it leave spots on my bike? No! Moto Mist Systems produce a robust, fine atomized spray mist (almost a vapor) that cools your torso area.
Do I have to be moving for it to work? No! You can use our system when you need it the most, at stop lights.
Our biggest question is how long will it last after pressurization? It last for multiple, typical 10-20 second cooling shots throughout your ride, without having to pump it up every time.
How long does it last on the road? The large capacity multi-function water bottle provides enough water to last throughout most day trips. A smaller multi-function high pressure water bottle is also available, that fits in a cup holder.
FYI: The multi-function high pressure water bottle can be removed very easily, and the blue misting nozzle can be attached to the water bottle. Allowing for rapid cool down, washing off, cleaning up, while on the road. You can even use it to shower. It works upside down!
Can I add ice to the multi-function water bottle? Yes, you can! The multi-functional can be filled with both ice, and water to provide an even cooler ride!
Our other big question we get is, where is the water bottle mounted? Most riders simply put it in their saddlebag (it works laying down, with a built in weighted syphon in the bottle) or you can mount to the frame using (Kuryakyn's 6612 The Clinger Bottle Holder available on Amazon).
We also received a question about riding with leather vest. Moto Mist Systems are designed to utilize the evaporative cooling effect. Meaning the mist is directed at your torso (below the chin) in order to cool you off. If you are riding with a jacket or vest on, you may need to open up the top, in order to experience the evaporative cooling effect on your torso.
Will it spot leather? The robust fine vapor mist that is generated, is practically a gas by the time it reaches your torso, and evaporates very quickly. It's not like riding in a rain storm, where your getting drenched.
Will it work in high humidity climates? Yes! We installed a test system on a bike at the Bikes Blues and Barbeque Rally last year, and it worked very well. It was in the 90s with 80%+ humidity. The customer was very satisfied with his system!
How long does it take to install? Installation is approximately 1 hour.
